Create a business website for free: The story of Dhaey
Gone are the days when you can only rely on word of mouth and having your business listed in the business directories. Although these methods may still be effective to a certain extent, creating a business website is a crucial tactic for your business. So, if you operate a small business and you don’t have a website yet, you should really consider creating one.
But, why should you create a business website?
For starters, your business website can help you reach more customers and a wider audience.
Would you want to miss the opportunity of reaching all those people on the internet?
Even if you are a local small business, service provider, freelancer or consultant, the odds are people have used search engines to look for you. If you don’t have a website, then they probably won’t find you. Moreover, your website represents your business to your customers 24/7/365.
Let’s face it, you probably use the internet to find more information about different businesses too, right?
There are endless opportunities from having a professional looking website for your business.

Then what is stopping small businesses from creating a website?
Perhaps the most common misconception about creating a business website is that they are hard and costly to build or not necessary.
Well, this doesn’t have to be the case. You can check our guide on building a website on a budget. You can also easily build a business website without prior technical knowledge using GoDaddy’s Websites + Marketing tool. With the Website Builder, it can take less than an hour to create a basic website and you can try it for free!
We’ve recently built a business website for Dhaey as a part of our project: Let’s build you a website. In this guide, you’ll get to know more about their business and their website building journey…
Creating a business website for Dhaey
Dhaey is an establishment that works in producing paper products such as tissue papers and max rolls. They started in June 2018, and ever since then they’ve developed products which are distinguished by high-quality and competitive prices.
They are currently manufacturing their products in their factory in Abu Dhabi in the UAE. Meanwhile, they’re preparing a factory in Khobar in the eastern province of KSA.
They offer exceptional and reliable services, with the highest possible quality and reasonable prices. Their plan is to become one of the largest companies in the paper production field not only in Saudi Arabia but also the whole gulf area.
To achieve the desired efficiency and distinguished service, they work hand in hand with their workers, suppliers, and clients as one big team. They already have customers in Riyadh and Jeddah. Their targeted customers and clients are hospitals, restaurants, supply companies and regular consumers.
Dhaey’s marketing manager – Hassan Aref – reached out to GoDaddy Gulf’s Facebook page and asked to take part in our “Let’s build you a website” campaign.
The campaign focuses on offering SMEs in the region with free websites. Creating a business website on your own can be challenging and complicated, so we offer you the guidance you need to make things much easier. We also provide you with one free year of the GoDaddy Websites + Marketing tool and your domain name of choice (unless it’s premium), to help you kickstart your business website.
The journey to create a business website
When we first got in touch with Dhaey’s team they explained why they need to create a business website:
“Our business needs a website, because we need a professional interface to communicate with other businesses and potential clients.”
We’ll show you the step by step journey of creating Dhaey’s website.
Step 1: Find a Domain name
The first step to launching your online identity is securing a domain name. Choosing the perfect domain name for your website can be very tricky.
In Dhaey’s case they had already purchased their domain name when they started the company. They chose their domain name dhaey.com from GoDaddy and they also used the Professional Business Email from GoDaddy.

Step 2: Choose the design and add content using the Website Builder
After sending in the website content: text, logo and pictures, we started building Dhaey’s website using GoDaddy’s Websites + Marketing tool.
After choosing the website’s template, font and colours, it was time to put the content together.
The website pages are: the homepage, about us section, products, and previous customers. Dhaey’s website is dual language, the content is in both English and Arabic. They also have a contact form to reach their team in case of inquiries or questions. Their products page has a gallery with all product pictures and a detailed list of their products along with their images and features.

Step 3: Connect the website to the domain name and publish it!
After finalizing the website’s content, it was time to connect the domain name to the website built and publishing it.
When you’re publishing the website using the Website Builder, you can either publish the website to a free domain name like Dhaey.godaddysites.com or you can connect it to the domain name purchased.

Websites built with the Website Builder are responsive, so no matter what device you’re using, the website will look great.
Finally, Dhaey’s team can monitor their website’s performance using GoDaddy InSight™. InSight is a smart system designed to help you optimize your online presence.
You can check metrics like site visitors, reviews and social engagements. The tool also provides you with a tailored action plan, to help you have a better online presence, by getting continuous suggestions.
