Helper I

Domain shows it's expired last year, but not available.

Any help would be appreciated as I am a domain novice.

There is a domain I have my eye on to complete a set and the whois entry has the expiry as follows:

Registry Expiry Date: 2019-07-20T20:40:53Z

Yet it is not available to purchase and when visiting it is still parked. Is it common for whois information to be outdated? Is there anything I can do to find out more or get closer too owning it bar having GD approach the owner?

@bensim90 it's hard to know the status of the domain without knowing the actual domain. Please copy and paste the entire top portion of the whois information so I can review it. You can edit the domain name from the information if needed.

Thanks for your reply @justingodfrey and thanks in advance for your help on this, its really appreciated.

Please see below the whois info below, Ive taken the domain out just to be safe!

Hi @bensim90,

Welcome to the Community!

The volunteers in this Community would need to know the domain name that you're wanting to purchase. It IS possible that the Registry has not updated it's information, but more likely there's more to the story that we could discover with the domain name.
