One of my domains is currently managed by the web developers and the nameservers point to their hosting provider.
Now I want to take control of the DNS, and just point the required records to them. They have sent me a copy of all the records, but I cannot add them until a change the nameservers back to GoDaddy. Obviously I would like to have it all setup and ready before doing this.
Thanks for posting. In order to manage your DNS from your GoDaddy account you will need to update the nameservers first. Wherever the nameservers are is also where you manage your DNS. Unfortunately, there is no workaround, so you will experience down time when you change the nameservers and update your DNS, propagation can take up to 48 hours. Hope that helps!
