That all depends on the type of hosting you're using.
If you use cPanel, here's how you create emails.
After adding domains to your account, you can create email addresses for them.

NOTE: Your Mailbox Quota counts toward your account's Disk Space Usage.
After creating email accounts, you can either check them with webmail or use an email client.
I wouldn't suggest using cPanel as its notoriously spotty and you absolutely get what you pay for (cPanel email is a free addon.) I would suggest either using O365 or GSuite if you want a reliable email option. It's not free but $5 or so a month isn't too bad.
