Core file load.php is causing WP timeout w/memory issues and timeout

Since 2 days now one of my Managed WP site is going through difficult times. After surfing a bit (I spent more than 3 h w/different help desk from GD without being able to understand this issue..) I found what's going on.

1. We are not able to edit Core files and the error ir at load.php file as Wordfence explains:

WordPress core file modified: wp-includes/load.php”.
Filename: wp-includes/load.php
File type: Core
Issue first detected: 8 hours 1 min ago.
Severity: Critical
Status New
This WordPress core file has been modified and differs from the original file distributed with this version of WordPress

2. There are 2 threads at Wordpress.org about this issue that needs URGENT attention from GoDaddy:

=> https:// wordpress.org/support/topic/overloaded-elemet-of-wp_hook/

=> https:// core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/39132

3. As a customer since 2003 I'm quite dissappointed my site was taken down 2/3 days ago claiming I had done something that was consuming the server resources when the issue was caused by a Core file I can't have access to.

I hope we can get GoDaddy make the

Re: Core file load.php is causing WP timeout w/memory issues and timeout

Hi, @Emme. Welcome to GoDaddy Community.

I was able to review this issue with our developers, and they confirmed that we have rolled out a patch to fix this issue (the one suggested by the user Jorbin in the WordPress post). If you find something that suggests the patch was not applied to your account, please reach out to our support team so they can take a closer look at what's happening.

Indirect modification of overloaded element of WP_Hook

Hi Jesse,

I read your message and it seems related to my problem. I'm seeing the message below when I click on MailPoet in the WP dashboard. You had mentioned there was a patch, but I"m still seeing the error message. I wasn't sure what to do. The site is www.hspmentor.com

Notice: Indirect modification of overloaded element of WP_Hook has no effect in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas06_data01/05/3182505/html/wp-content/object-cache.php on line 664

Thanks so much,

Jeanne
