I just migrated my website from another host, I had to manually copy the wp-content folder and import my database to phpMyAdmin in Godaddy servers, I also updated my wp-config.php, when I try to access my website (http://4eb.d1b.myftpupload.com/wp-admin/) I get this error:
Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at n1nlsmysqladm01.secureserver.net. This could mean your host’s database server is down.
I tried to create another user for the database so I can use it in the config file but I don't seem to have privileges to create new users.
I used the same username and password in the config file that I used to login to phpMyAdmin.
What could be the problem?
@Miiboxil what did you put in your wp config file in the server address?
You may want to try with the server url, or with localhost
@Miiboxil try with localhost and let me know if it works
@Miiboxil can you post the contents of your wp config file so I can take a look?
Obviously post it without exposing your passwords
@Miiboxil are you sure your DB user and DB name are equal?
Also, can you check in your GoDaddy panel, what you see as your mysql server and post it?
My DB name is the one I copied from the PhpMyAdmin page, and the user name is the one I used to login to the PhpMyAdmin , isn't that right?
I have a managed wordpress hosting, the only thing I see in my website panel in the database section in the PhpMyAdmin, I don't see any MYSQL Database application.
@Miiboxil if it's as you say, it looks OK. Do you see a port number for your mysql server?
I sent you a PM for your convenience.
Hope it helps!
