I have been trying to upload a wordpress theme & plugin to a new Wordpress installation but receiving the following notice; Failure Notice always occured. Can anyone help me resolve this issue.
Very annoying as I have not experinced this with other hosting comapnies.
Hi @Thewelshone, welcome to the community! 🙂
Can you be a little more clear?
From where are you installing the plugins and themes? From your WP dashboard or are you uploading them via FTP/sFTP?
Also can you tell me if you are in a managed WP hosting plan? If not, can you tell me which hosting plan you have?
Apologies for being so vague.
I'm attempting to install from the wordpress backend, I am on the shared hosting plan. I am attempting to locate my PHP.INI file so tat I can update but have not done so.
I am now receiving a different error message: PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
I have attempted doing a fresh install but still the issue prevails.
Thanks for your help.
Hi @Thewelshone, that error looks like the file maybe corrupted. Can you check that?
Do you have free space in your account? Here you can see a similar problem in WordPress forums.
Hope it helps!
@Thewelshone regarding the php.ini, if you don't have it, you can create it through file manager, or upload it via ftp.
You can also use .user.ini instead of php.ini
And for the ioncube error, maybe this helps.
