Managing Easy Database for Websites Widgets with Website Builder

Once you set up a widget with Easy Database for Websites, you can insert it like you would any of the numerous widgets Website Builder offers.

Easy Database for Websites offers four different JavaScript-based widgets to let your website's visitors interact with your data:

  • Search & Filter — Lets visitors can search for data in your data table. For example, a set of data visitors might search to find particular items, such as a store's inventory.
  • Data Grid — Lets visitors can only see data in your data table and not search for it. For example, a set of data a visitor only needs to view, such as a restaurant's menu.
  • Data Entry — Lets visitors can enter data into a form, and the data is stored in your data table. For example, a set of data a visitor provides to you, such as a hotel reservation or a request for a quote.
  • Image Gallery — Displays a gallery of images you choose.

Once you set up widget using Easy Database for Widgets, you can insert it like you would any of the numerous widgets Website Builder lets you display on your Web pages.

Creating an Easy Database for Websites Widget

You can create an Easy Database for Websites widget so you can easily insert it into your Web pages with Website Builder.

To Create an Easy Database for Websites Widget

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Easy Database.
  3. Next to the account you want to set up, click Launch.
  4. Click Create New Account.
  5. Enter the email address you want to associate to this account.
  6. Login to the email account you specified, and then open the Account Verification email.
  7. To activate the Easy Database for Websites account click Verify Account, or visit the URL listed in the email message.
  8. Create a password for the Easy Database for Websites account, and then verify the password.
  9. Follow the on-screen instructions to start creating your database.

Inserting an Easy Database for Websites Widget

Once you create an Easy Database for Websites Widget, you can easily insert the widget into your Web pages with Website Builder.

To Insert an Easy Database for Websites Widget

  1. Log in to your Website Builder account.
  2. From the Design drop-down menu, click Launch Page Designer.
  3. From Page drop-down menu, select the page where you want to add the widget.
  4. Click the block where you want to add your widget. Blocks are outlined in blue.
  5. Position your cursor where you want to insert the widget.
  6. From Insert, go to Widgets, and then select Easy Database for WebSites Widget. You can also access the widget from the Insert tab, by going to the Forms drop-down menu, and then selecting Easy Database for WebSites Widget.

  7. Click Get Widget. The widget displays in your content block.

Deleting an Easy Database for Websites Widget

With Website Builder, you can easily delete an Easy Database for Websites Widget that you no longer want.

To Delete an Easy Database for Websites Widget

  1. Log in to your Website Builder account.
  2. From the Design drop-down menu, click Launch Page Designer.
  3. From the Page drop-down menu, select the page where you want to delete the widget.
  4. Click the block containing the widget you want to delete. Blocks are outlined in blue.
  5. Place your cursor in the content block, behind the widget. Press Back Space on your keyboard.
  6. In the content block, click Save.
