Microsoft 365 from GoDaddy Help

Why do I have a NETORG or .archive email address in my Email & Office Dashboard?

After moving from Media Temple Mail to Microsoft 365 from GoDaddy, you might see accounts listed in your GoDaddy Email & Office Dashboard with "NETORG" or “.archive” (like NETORGFT12345.onmicrosoft.com or jane.archive@coolexample.com). When we tried to move your Media Temple Mail accounts, we noticed that the domain is already being used with a Microsoft 365 account, either with us or with Microsoft directly.

Based on whether you want to keep these users, you have a few options. Select the appropriate tab for the type of user you see listed in your Email & Office Dashboard:

If you see a “NETORG” user in your Email & Office Dashboard, that means the associated domain is already in use with a Microsoft 365 account with Microsoft.

Example: If your Media Temple Mail accounts were set up on coolexample.com and that domain is being used for a Microsoft 365 account with Microsoft, we transferred the email user’s content to a “NETORG” user, like NETORG12345.onmicrosoft.com.

You have 3 options based on whether you’d like to keep the user:

If you see a “.archive” user in your Email & Office Dashboard, that means the user was already set up with Microsoft 365 from GoDaddy before migration.

Example: If jane@coolexample.com was already set up with Microsoft 365 from GoDaddy, we moved the user and its content from Media Temple Mail, but renamed it to jane.archive@coolexample.com.

You have 3 options based on whether you’d like to keep the user:
